Range

The range of a vehicle is dictated by the battery capacity, driving style and temperature. Just like a petrol or diesel vehicle,  range is reduced is you drive fast or uneconomically. For further details, see Range Explained.

The official (NEDC) range is 106 miles, but in real life this is typically around 80-90 miles in the summer, if driven economically. Range is reduced in winter to around 60-70 miles, but this does depend on the temperature and heating use.

The range you can achieve with a full battery (approx 20kWh) at different average driving economies is:

Charging

This van has both AC charging and DC rapid charging.  The rapid charging is via a 50kW Chademo port at the rear.
The AC charging is via a type1 (J1772) port at the front, which charges at 3.6kW/16A. At 3.6kWh, you'll add about 15 miles of range per hour of charging.
You can also charge from a standard 240V mains socket using a portable charger cable (often called a granny cable). These charge at 2.3kW/10A and add about 10 miles per hour of charging.
Charging would typically be overnight or top-ups between trips, when the van is not in use.

Charge times (from empty) are approx:

The van comes with a type1 to type 2 AC charge cable and a portable charger.

Battery

22.5kWh lithium-ion battery, of which around 20.5kWh is usable.
It is not possible to test the battery health on these vans as the battery management system does not report the state of health. However, these packs will typically last the life of the vehicle and only lose around 1% per year.
