Rear brake service on a Renault Kangoo

An issue that can happen on older Renault Kangoo ZE vans is a squealing noise from rear at low speeds. This is due to the rear brakes rubbing and binding. The problem is caused by lack of use on EVs, particularly on the Kangoo as the regen is so good, the brakes are hardly used. The pads can become stiff and not freeing off the disc, so a simple clean up and sort it. But it could also be due to a rusted piston in the caliper.

Also, freeing up binding brakes can me a huge difference to range. In this van shown in the video below, there was a 25% improvement in the range after the rear brakes were serviced.
